The stadium's Northern Lights Display is recognized around the world as a landmark of Vancouver’s skyline. BC Place is honoured to be able to help bring awareness to events, charities and non-profit causes that are important to communities in British Columbia.

Here are the stadium's lighting initiatives for February:

February 1st - Purple for Provincial Eating Disorder Awareness Week

February 2nd - Red, Black and Green for Black History Month

February 3rd - Red for Heart Month

February 4th - Orange for World Cancer Day

February 7th - Red for CHD Awareness Week

February 8th - Purple for International Epilepsy Day

February 11th - Red for 211 Day

February 12th - Red for Lunar New Year

February 13th - Red for Wear Red Day for Women's Heart Health

February 14th - Valentine's Day Show

February 15th - Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Day

February 17th - Rainbow for Random Acts of Kindness Day

February 18th - Special Animation for Variety Show of Hearts Telethon

February 19th - Special Animation for Variety Show of Hearts Telethon

February 20th - Special Animation for Variety Show of Hearts Telethon

February 21st - Red in advance of World Encephalitis Day (February 22nd)

February 22nd - Blue for World Thinking Day on behalf of Girl Guides of Canada

February 24th - Pink for Pink Shirt Day

February 25th - Blue and Gold for Covenant House Vancouver’s Sleep Out: Professionals Edition

In addition to these lighting initiatives, the stadium will continue to light up with a special animation every night at the top of each hour (between sunset and 11pm) for 5 minutes to show support for health care professionals across the province who are working tirelessly to support our communities through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Centerplate team at BC Place kicks off 2021 with a generous donation

January 13th, 2021

To kick off the new year, the Centerplate team at BC Place organized a donation of nearly 2,500 pounds of food for The Salvation Army Vancouver Harbour Light. This generous contribution will go towards feeding our vulnerable neighbours in the Downtown Eastside community.

Since the postponement of major events at the stadium in March 2020, BC Place and Centerplate have amplified efforts to support the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, over 10,000 pounds of food has been donated to benefit our local communities. Thank you to our valued team members for their continued commitment to serving others during this challenging time!

For 65 years, Harbour Light has been a place of miracles and new beginnings in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.

Harbour Light is a team of nearly 200 hard-working, fun-loving professionals who feel called to work in and for the Downtown Eastside community.
