BC Home + Garden Show returns to BC Place

The BC Home + Garden Show returns to BC Place from February 20th through February 24th, 2019. The show features more than 425 trusted brands and local companies, including the industry’s top home improvement celebrities and local designers.

This year, the BC Home + Garden Show welcomes new faces and returning HGTV Canada stars, including Bryan Baeumler of Island of Bryan, and landscape designer and host of Home to Win, Carson Arthur. Don’t miss out on seeing local duo, Mickey & Sebastian of HGTV Canada’s Worst to First as they hit the TELUS Main Stage for the first time! Joining this all-star line up on stage will be Vancouver’s own top designers, including show veteran Jamie Banfield. Also returning is the always-popular Cooking Stage where top local chefs will heat up the stage with live cooking demos and the latest culinary trends all weekend long.
The show is an opportunity for guests to shop, connect with their favourite home improvement personalities, as well as consult industry professionals.

The residential construction industry in British Columbia is essential to the province's economic strength and prosperity. Celebrating the legacy of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games

Nine years ago today BC Place hosted the opening ceremony of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games!

From February 12, 2010 through February 28, 2010, a team of 206 Canadian athletes competed in the 21st Olympic Winter Games, hosted in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Team Canada finished with 14 gold medals and 26 medals in total, making it the country's best medal performance in Olympic history.

How the Vancouver International Boat Show is boosting business in BC

The 57th Vancouver International Boat Show returns to BC Place from February 6th to 10th, featuring hundreds of exhibitors and products, as well as educational seminars and workshops.

Presented by Boating BC, Western Canada's largest boat show is an opportunity for professionals to share their knowledge, insight and assistance to every kind of boater and marine business, from a first-timer to a seasoned tour operator.

The recreational boating industry in British Columbia has grown by nearly 30 percent in the past five years.

A National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Canada study found that recreational boating injected $1.3 billion into the province's economy in 2016 on revenues of $2.2 billion. The industry also employed almost 17,000 British Columbians, including boat dealers and service stores, marinas, and boat manufacturers.

The 2018 Vancouver International Boat Show welcomed nearly 30,000 attendees and saw record-breaking sales.
