BC Place Glows Pink for "Run for the Cure"

August 20th, 2015

With the support of the BC Lions, BC Place will light up pink tonight instead of the normal game-day orange, to spread awareness for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation ‘CIBC Run for the Cure’. The lighting initiative is part of “Paint Canada Pink Week” which celebrates 50 days to Run Day.
Vancouver joins over 60 communities across the country in the largest, single day, volunteer-led national event in Canada in support of breast cancer research. This year the CIBC Run for the Cure in Vancouver begins at 9:00am on October 4th at Concord Pacific Place.

Last year in Vancouver, 7,000 participants joined for the walk/run and raised $1,568 million (as of Run Day). All proceeds raised at runs in BC will remain in the BC/Yukon Region. Across Canada, participants raised a total of $25 million. Register online at www.cibcrunforthecure.com
