BC Place lights up blue for Dystonia Awareness Month

BC Place will light up blue on Monday, September 3rd for Dystonia Awareness Month.

What is Dystonia? Dystonia is a movement disorder that causes the muscles to contract and spasm involuntarily, affecting approximately 50,000 Canadians. There are approximately 13 forms of dystonia, and dozens of diseases and conditions include dystonia as a major symptom.

To promote awareness about the disorder, Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) Canada has launched the "Dystonia Moves Me" awareness campaign, taking place during the month of September 2018.
