BC Place lights up purple for ALS Awareness
June 2nd, 2020
BC Place will light up purple to recognize ALS Awareness Month on Tuesday, June 2nd.
More than 3,000 Canadians live with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It is a fatal and rapidly progressive neuromuscular disease, which robs a person of their ability to speak, walk, eat or breathe – trapping an active mind in a deteriorating, immobilized body.
