BC Place to light in support of Canada WNT at next month's FIFA Women's World Cup

Stadium’s Northern Lights Display also to feature colours for Canada Day and Vancouver Chinatown Festival

VANCOUVER, BC – BC Place is getting behind the Canadian National Team at next month’s FIFA Women’s World Cup by lighting in a special Maple Leaf Show. The stadium’s Northern Lights Display will don its national colours when Canada WNT kick off their slate on July 20, and again on the evenings of July 25 and 30 prior to the team’s succeeding group stage fixtures in Australia. 

The Maple Leaf Show will also be on display for Canada Day on July 1. In addition, the stadium will also be shining red to help promote the Vancouver Chinatown Festival on July 16.

BC Place is recognized around the world as a landmark of Vancouver’s skyline and a place of pride for all British Columbians. Besides enhancing the overall guest experience during events, the stadium’s Northern Lights Display is used to amplify important causes upon request from the community.

July 1: Maple Leaf Show for Canada Day
July 5: green for National Injury Prevention Day
July 11: red & green for Imamat Day
July 14: blue, green, red, & orange for World Youth Skills Day (July 15)
July 15: blue for BC Blueberry Day
July 16: red for Vancouver Chinatown Festival
July 17: red for Special Olympics Global Week of Inclusion
July 18: red, green, gold, & blue for Nelson Mandela International Day
July 19: teal for World Fragile X Day (July 22)
July 20: Maple Leaf Show for FIFA Women’s World Cup
July 25: Maple Leaf Show for FIFA Women’s World Cup 
July 28: red & yellow for World Hepatitis Day
July 30: Maple Leaf Show for FIFA Women’s World Cup
