BC PLACE IS “LIGHTING UP IN RED” TO KICK OFF MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AWARENESS MONTH
Vancouver, BC: BC Place will be “lighting up in red” on May 1, 2014, to mark the beginning of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month during the month of May. MS impacts 100,000 people in Canada, and between 7,500 - 10,000 in the BC/Yukon region. Each day, 3 new people are diagnosed with the disease.

About the ‘Northern Lights’ at BC Place
The stadium roof façade – known as the Northern Lights Display - uses 1700 ‘ETFE’ panels, stacked four rows high, and 6,800 linear feet of energy-efficient LED lights to create customizable lighting displays. BC Place has used the entire roof to promote specific events, create seasonal displays and raise awareness for community and charitable organizations.
