BC Place to "turn it teal" for World Ovarian Cancer Day

Vancouver, BC: BC Place will join landmarks around the world by glowing teal on Thursday, May 8th, in support of World Ovarian Cancer Day. The special lighting of BC Place will support the efforts of Ovarian Cancer Canada: Pacific Yukon Region, and 27 other ovarian cancer organizations in 18 countries in creating awareness of the symptoms and risk factors of this disease.

About the ‘Northern Lights’ at BC Place
The stadium roof façade – known as the Northern Lights Display - uses 1700 ‘ETFE’ panels, stacked four rows high, and 6,800 linear feet of energy-efficient LED lights to create customizable lighting displays. BC Place has used the entire roof to promote specific events, create seasonal displays and raise awareness for community and charitable organizations.
