BC PLACE GLOWS GREEN FOR TAKE A HIKE FOUNDATION
Vancouver, BC: BC Place will light the Northern Lights Display green on Tuesday, December 2nd, in support of the Take a Hike Youth at Risk Foundation on “National Giving Day”.
Take a Hike is a local program that aims to help youth in BC who struggle with a combination of personal issues such as drug and alcohol addiction, physical and mental abuse, low self-esteem, depression, unstable homes, poverty and/or trauma, by providing them with a stable and supportive environment to work through their issues, build confidence, improve their academic abilities and eventually graduate from high school.

About the ‘Northern Lights’ at BC Place
The stadium roof façade – known as the Northern Lights Display - uses 1700 ‘ETFE’ panels, stacked four rows high, and 6,800 linear feet of energy-efficient LED lights to create customizable lighting displays. BC Place has used the entire roof to promote specific events, create seasonal displays and raise awareness for community and charitable organizations.
