BC PLACE GLOWS RED FOR THE CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES ‘WRAP IT UP RED’ CAMPAIGN
Vancouver, BC: BC Place is glowing red on December 3rd in support of the Canadian Blood Services and their annual holiday campaign, “Wrap it in RED… Will you save a life this holiday season?”
Collecting blood during the holiday season can be challenging as many donors are travelling or are busy with family. The campaign will encourage Canadians to donate blood and register to become an organ and tissue donor during the holiday season.

About Canadian Blood Services
Canadian Blood Services is a national, not-for-profit charitable organization that manages the supply of blood and blood products in all provinces and territories outside of Quebec. Canadian Blood Services also oversees the OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network, is establishing Canada's (excluding Quebec) national public cord blood bank and supports leading practices development, professional education and public awareness for organ and tissue donation and transplantation. About the ‘Northern Lights’ at BC Place
The stadium roof façade – known as the Northern Lights Display - uses 1700 ‘ETFE’ panels, stacked four rows high, and 6,800 linear feet of energy-efficient LED lights to create customizable lighting displays. BC Place has used the entire roof to promote specific events, create seasonal displays and raise awareness for community and charitable organizations.
