Denim Day Show highlights April Northern Lights Schedule

BC Place illumination to showcase denim-themed show for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

VANCOUVER, BC – BC Place’s Northern Lights Display will feature a special Denim Day Show for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, one of 15 community initiatives to be amplified on the stadium’s illumination for April.
Denim Day is on April 26, a day of action and awareness when people are encouraged to wear denim to combat victim blaming and educate others about sexual violence.
Other community initiatives to be promoted with the light show during the month include World Autism Day, Sikh Heritage Month, World Parkinson’s Day, and the Canadian Cancer Society’s Daffodil Campaign.
In addition, the colourful and vibrant Spring Show returns to the Vancouver skyline on April 9, 22-25, 28, and 30.
BC Place is recognized around the world as a landmark of Vancouver’s skyline and a place of pride for all British Columbians. Besides enhancing the overall guest experience during events, the stadium’s Northern Lights Display is used to amplify important causes that impact our community.

April 6: rainbow for Sikh Heritage Month
April 7: green for Green Shirt Day

April 10: pink for International Day of Pink (April 12)
April 11: turquoise & magenta for World Parkinson's Day
April 12: red & blue for Emergency Service Dispatchers' and 9-1-1 Awareness Week
April 13: blue, pink & yellow for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Month
April 17: red for World Hemophilia Day
April 18: yellow for Daffodil Campaign
April 19: purple for Porphyria Awareness Day
April 20: teal for Premenstrual Disorders Awareness Month
April 22-25: Spring Show
