Well-known Vancouver chef to greet guests and help serve up his famous Indian cuisine prior to Vancouver Whitecaps FC match.
Vancouver, BC: Fans heading to tonight’s Whitecaps FC match against Sporting KC will also have an opportunity to meet Chef Vikram Vij and sample a selection of his curries sold at Vij’s Restaurant, prior to the match.
Chef Vikram will be on hand to meet the public at his BC Place location on the concourse (near section 245) from 6:00PM to 7:00PM.
Centerplate at BC Place has partnered with local chefs since the new BC Place reopened in September 2011, with a commitment to exciting, locally sourced offerings. A number of Vij’s famous dishes are available at BC Place, including Kalonji Chicken Curry, Garam Masala Beef Curry, Mother-in-Law’s Pork Curry, Coconut Green Bean Curry and Punjabi Lentil Dhaal.
With an unmatched passion for food and hospitality, Chef Vikram is credited with helping to foster a nationwide appreciation for Indian food through his cookbooks, and by making his famous curries available at food stores across Canada.
